I just purchased the HTC dessire because I did not want an iPhone like everyone else. It is unfortunate that I am really not liking this phone!!! One, I needed it for Skype and can't download it but I am trying to be patient since something is supposed to be coming out soon. Two, I read here that I could use Fring to get to my contacts on Skype, NOPE, that wasn't even on the the options to sync with. This phone has become one disappointment after another. If anyone has any suggestions I WOULD LOVE SOME!!!
 
Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I do not really like the smart keyboard. I read about changing it to the QWERTY keys but that option was not available either. :S
 
First welcome to Android Forum. I think your questions would be better answer in the Desire sub-forum..
