Hey everyone. I've been lurking for a while while I've been trying to figure out what phone to get with my new every two that came up in November. I held off on the droid hoping for the sholes tablet, but that seems to be a pipe dream and I don't want to wait around forever. I've decided that the Nexus 1 isn't a big enough improvement to wait three months for and lacks a physical keyboard and I don't really like the two tone look. I decided to pull the trigger today on the Droid so I figured I'd Finally Register.
I'm probably not going to be a huge contributor to these forums, but I want to say thanks for everyone in the community as they have already taught me a lot. I do have a decent amount of Linux experience, but no Android experience yet. We'll see how I do. I definitely plan to root and have some big time fun.
