Koush & Cyanogen

From the sounds of it he wasn't doing much actual coding for the company, so I understand him leaving to do what he loves.

Yeah, that's the way of things unfortunately. The higher up the chain you go, the farther away you get from what you like doing.

Fair play to him. :)

What when did this happen . we both missed the boat:eek::D:what:

About a month ago by the sounds of things.

Eh, he overcharges for his apps, and they seem like betas that never get finished. Wait until your app actually works right before you start charging $5 for it.

Lol which apps are you referring to mate?

Allcast is definitely a work in progress and the free version only lets you cast for one minute lol. I remember ROM Manager back in the day was buggy as hell. I do appreciate that people can build CWM on their own, though. A lot of less popular devices would probably have never gotten a custom recovery if not for that.

I actually own rom manager but can't say I've ever used it lol.
Don't have a Chromecast yet but when I do it will only be because of all cast.
Is it expensive mate?
Better go to sleep but I'll check it out tomorrow.
G'nite

I think I had vaguely registered that he'd left. I'm not following CM that closely these days.

I used ClockworkMod recovery for a couple of years, and particularly liked that 2.5.0.7 for the Desire could handle both Amend and Edify scripting. I also used Helium so that I could transfer some app data to my One before rooting it (but since then I've had Titanium back, so it was redundant and uninstalled).

ROM Manager I never got into. It did nothing I couldn't do with a web browser and a custom recovery, and caused problems on a lot of devices which meant that I never recommended it.

I have the ROM manager and can say its still very buggy and sometimes just fail for no reason I am glad safestrap was out to use. Wish I can take that 5$ and buy some RAID .:D

What I hate is I see a lot of people confusing rom manager with rom toolbox which is an amazing app and well worth buying pro
