I didn't realize that people purposefully went outside and tried to have direct sunlight on their screen in order to use their phone? I don't know about others, but I just use a little common sense and create some shade for my phone if it is hard to view outside, regardless of the brand. Why is this an issue?

It's an issue because everyone's sunlight varies, everyone's eyesight varies, and everyone varies in how they use their phones and what they need to be doing with their hands.

Common sense is not an issue here.

The varying needs of individuals is the issue.
