Lag on S3

I'll start by saying my s3 has been updated to jelly bean, and my s3 motherboard got replaced due to fast battery drain. However after that youtube videos started to stutter even when video is buffered, my Flipboard is also laggy when flipping pages. Also swiping between home screens sometimes lags. I don't think that the s3 should have trouble playing youtube videos or using flipboard. Is my phone faulty?

Is hard reset from the settings menu? I'm apprehensive about resetting the phone because previously after resetting, the battery drain issue occurred and I had to send in the phone for repair. Also, the service staff said they reflashed the software after the repair.

Resetting will reset your apps and data, the system version will remain the same.
