Root lag with stock ROM

I have annoying lag on my home screen with the stock ROM....and sometimes the camera takes 5 or 6 seconds to open up. Any ROMS out there with no lag and improved battery?

If you are having poor battery performance and lagging, then something on your phone is running excessively and both slowing down the phone and using up the battery. You need to use a program, like system panel, that will let you look at your processes and see what the cuplrit is.
