What happens now is that sliding the keyboard always puts the OS in landscape mode, regardless of the "auto-rotate screen" setting and phone's position/rotation. Surely this is the intended behaviour, but is this more of an Android restriction or something SE could have added?
So I'd like an option that even if the keyboard is slid out, the OS would still be able to auto-rotate normally. Why? Would be handy in situations where you need both - portrait and the keyboard, saves sliding the keyboard every other minute.
Not too high hopes of any 3rd party app achieving what I want (I guess way too hardware coded) but what about custom roms (i.e. CyanogenMod)?
