Help Language change

Hi

I have just bought an Android 5.1 I am English but live in France When I change the language from French to English it reverts back to French when I turn the 'phone off. This does not happen on my other old 'phone. Both Sim's are French HELP!
 
Hi,
Go to settings>scroll down to>language & input>language >scroll down to English (US) default.
Tap on this language.
Return to,
Settings>language & input >voice input/voice search>enhanced google services>gear icon/>languages>
Scroll down to English(US).
Tap on this language and check in the box and ,deselect (uncheck) in other languages, then,
Tap on save button below.
Return to,
Settings>language & input>Text to speech output>google text to speech engine> gear icon/ three lines , tap here>language >scroll down to English( US)
Tap on this language.
Reboot /restart device.

Thanks tried this but has not worked! where you say gear icon/three lines did you mean three times ?

Also I get on the final settings page 'Settings for Pico TTS' Not sure what this is but when I click it a list of European languages comes up but only in a mode that you cannot do anything with.
 
Are we talking about TTS or the actual device language here, that all the menus and things are in?

I think some devices can have automatic language selection based on the country and carrier it's in, all depending on what particular phone you've actually got there. If it is one of those, make sure that feature is unchecked. Is it a Xiaomi with MIUI?

Hi Thanks reply. Its an Android OS 5.1 BLUBOO model Xfire Where do I find the 'feature' you mention to uncheck it?
