Language question

Good Morning all;
I am an American working in Saudi Arabia using an S3 purchased in Dubai in December. It is updated to 4.1.1. English(US) is my chosen language.

My annoying problem is with Samsung apps. I suspect because of my location it thinks I speak Arabic. 98% of suggested apps are shown in Arabic. I don't read Arabic, other than a few phrases I don't speak Arabic. So far I have found no setting for languages in the apps section. Maybe after I download a few more apps it will figure me out but in the meantime it is rather frustrating.

any ideas?

Could it be due to the locale settings ?

That's what I'm afraid of. Since it knows my location it assumes I speak the local language. Any other world travelers out there that saw this while on the road?
