hi, I need to know what'd the procedure to connect a standard monitor, keyboard and mouse to my android phone as compared to buying an all-in-one lapdock. how do I find out what is the maximum resolution of monitor that will be supported by phone? is there additional hardware that can increase the resolution or are there phones available that support a higher output to monitor resolution?

Given the Samsung Galaxy J7 is a budget phone, that doesn't have any video out, and may not have USB-OTG support either. I'd say no you can't use it as like a PC. As for "lapdock", Samsung makes the DeX, but that's only for their recent flagship devices, like Galaxy S20, Note20, etc.

I got a Huawei Mate10 and a MateDock, and that can be used with a VGA or HDMI monitor, PC keyboard, and mouse, for PC type uses.

get a chromecast and plug that to your monitor or TV.
get a bluetooth keyboard
get either a samsung mouse or a bluetooth mouse

That basically means a smart-view enabled Samsung TV, connected to your WiFi. AFAIK smart-view is proprietary to Samsung devices only. I guess the maximum resolution will be whatever the TV is capable of, but you should at least get 1080p out of it.

Video latency might be an issue though if you're intended to uses it for PC computing type purposes rather than just watching videos through smart-view.
