There certainly will be -- not to mention phones with far greater storage capacities. Try Googling SDXC. It's not like designers are going to call it quits once they reach a certain storage amount. Didn't we learn anything from the old "640K is more than enough for anyone" proclaimation (even though it's not really about storage) ages ago?I've heard that the maximum storage of an SD card was 64GB, is there ever going to be a phone which will have that storage?
I agree with Takeshi. what we refer to now as SD cards are actually many generations down the line from the original SD spec (which I think had a maximum of 4GB, could be wrong though) The manufacturer of the phones typically limit the size of memory that they can address I think my samsung galaxy S has 16GB internal and can take up to an additional 32GB expansion (total 48GB) if that helps. So...even if a 64GB (sd) card exists, your phone manufacturer may not actually support it because it may be a different architecture (or standard). Early adopters of PDA's and digital cameras using 'Standard' SD cards will know exactly what I mean, hopefully I have explained it well enough.
