Don't get me wrong, The Conway Twittys and the like, do write excellent lyrics, it is just that twang of it that i can not get in to. When something is good even though i am not a fan, i give credit where it is due. i pretty much hate rap with every fiber of my being, but i do know that Chuck D is an excellent Lyricist, there is no question about it.

Bob Wills started the Western Swing genre.

Personally, i wound not consider this country. It is southern music meets ragtime.
Not bad. i could not listen to it every day. But i did enjoy it. Thank you.

There is plenty of excellent good music from that era. Swing is rocking. Some really excellent tempos. People today would not know good music if it walked up to them, introduced itself, them kicked them in the face.

FTFY? You will have to forgive me, i do not know internet acronyms.

The name does not ring any bells.

You Are the only person i have ever come across who knows who Massive Attack or Portishead are.

After i edited your post in the quote I put FTFY to show I "Fixed That For You"

here's a little bit of Nick Cave:

Nothing. I just added a word. Often a person will add or take away a word to totally change the meaning of a post (which i didn't that time) and then put the FTFY, in that case it was more to indicate that I know good music when it kicks me in the head. In those cases it's usually for the sake of humour. This forum's way tame compared to one where i tend to do most of my posting. I'd be banned quick smart here if I behaved the way I and others do there. But, i like it like that...

i see. the word "some". i did not think i used it. And apparently, i can not watch that video in my country. i will attempt to find him.

i found him. To me it sounds like The Doors meets Inxs meets some element i haven't really been able to put my finger on yet.
It's there, sort of like that word that is on the tip of your tongue, but you can not spit out.

He did a duet with Kylie Minogue called "Where the Wild Roses Grow" that you may've heard, also a duet with P.J. Harvey, called "Henry Lee", (dunno if you're familiar with her) that's very good. I actually have most of his CDs...

...take a listen to "Into My Arms" for something a little lighter.
