Last resort BBS, need help fast folks.

I love kiosks. The best screen protector I ever had came from a couple of them.

Surprisingly good service come from those transient locations sometimes.
Did you ever get it wet?

Sparkle is all it takes ... got to Verizon NOW.

They will probably have to send it in for analysis. If you find it was water damaged and since you don't have the additional insurance you get to pay 100% for a replacement.

The additional insurance for me from Verizon is $11/mo.

I hear a tiny woman bashing in your head, trying to tell others what they should do... Give it a rest, you have not read my pervious post on here.

I tried soft reset, and hard reset without the sims card, charged it for a good time too. please help me out people..had this phone since September 11th of last year.

This is another example of why I miss removable batteries. There was a spot that changed colors in the battery housing if you got it wet on most devices with removable batteries. Now you immediately void your warranty if you try to check that.

BOT: Feeling current means stop using it. Are you sure your vibration setting isn't just set really high Milo?

No kidding, miss out on removeable batteries, tried several times with different button combinations, as well as home button and all three buttons... Must of missed something, its probably the worn out usb cord.

/command posts deleted as they do nothing. As of now there is no reason to close the thread, and our practice is to leave threads open even when resolved so someone else with a similar problem can post in the thread and pick up where the previous person left off. :)

Least I know its not the usb, its charging my jb spearks mod though, something to do with knowing how to really reset it back to flash...been googling since last week about it though, I give up of trying though, think its the sims card too, still I emailed my sister about going up there when she does feel better..

I downloaded a griffin verizon thing, but the server crashed on it, searched for nash program thing, not so sure on what program does add into it as well, I feel somewhat stumped on it... Please do help me.

I am downloading an "official" zip file for my phone, I do have a "official" unbricker form some dude who is in the middle east.. Seems legit.

I know its in hibernation mode, went through command prompt, did the bootlander gig, and it is sleepy, lazy phone :) Any ideas how to make it fully awake?

Is this the same phone that you reported had water on the SIM card or did you replace it? You stated that you had the extended insurance for water damage.

If it was not replaced my guess is that it is a hardware problem.

Same phone situation, but I have dried it all out, and went to googling everything straight for the last few weeks almost.

man.. water damage can make things work unpredictably... even when its dried out... all of those shorts...residues... corrosion....

If it is that.. and it seems a reasonable supposition.. then a software solution isn't going to help... its down to sheer luck (the good or bad kind)

I water damaged a Droid Turbo 2 and replaced it (no insurance then so I kept the damaged phone).

It operates now ... it is very slow ... it does not appear to have any other faults. It will drain the battery from 100% to 0% in about an hour.

Water is a killer. There is no way to ever trust a water damaged phone.

Like I said, I am a very hard worker on littearly everything, yes I am using that term correct.

My water damaged Droid Turbo 2 has had a Factory Data Reset and runs very slow.

I just ran CPU-Z on it and it reports that CPU 4, CPU 5, CPU 6, and CPU 7 are stopped.

On the undamaged Droid Turbo 2 and undamaged Moto Z2 Force all 8 CPUs are active.

Correction ... I don't think what my previous test proved anything. I reran the tests ...

The water damaged Droid Turbo 2 has had a Factory Data Reset and runs very slow.
  • CPU-Z on the damaged Turbo 2 reports that CPU 4, 5, 6, and 7 are stopped.
  • CPU-Z on the undamaged Turbo 2 reports CPU 4, 5, 6, and 7 are stopped.
  • CPU-Z on the undamaged Moto Z2 Force reports all 8 CPUs are active.

Went to Verizon finally, they said it would be around 200 $ to fix it with water damage, without that, would of been free, for Dunkin Donuts sake, and just got it ehn and there, I had to force my mom's hand and just had her to do the work on it for insurance claim, but i am getting a new phone though :)

This one i will try if i could, not get water in it..

final test i ran was, when the battery light showed up, the lighting bolt did show for a few seconds when i was doing ADB last evening, damn it i was super close to, do the rain dance of joy :(
