Latest Android Facebook App

[StaticCat]

Phone : Galaxy S2

When using the latest Facebook app, whenever I post a status update it adds my location, saying near wherever at the bottom of the post (often wrong too).

I cannot for the life of me find the options to disable this.

Is there any other way of preventing this app seeing my location? (eg tinfoil etc) or just through any phone settings.

Apart from turning off GPS connectivity or using a different app (Friendcaster for instance), you can't.

I was wondering the same thing. I checked both the mobil app and desktop facebook settings with no luck.

I'm actually enjoying this particular bug. It makes me appear a lot more active than I actually am. But I could see where it might cause issues for some people.
