latest Android version for Optimus T

2.2 is the latest thus far but there are several Roms that are 2.3.6 4.0.4 and such
they are Custom Roms but they do function.

Just be aware, The CyanogenMod 7.2.0 likes to crash and clocking the CPU seems limited as it crashes if you go any higher than what the choice from that mod chooses. I would suggest the nightly for a custom mod.

I have the Optimus T running Android 2.2. I connect via wifi (do not have a data plan). When I check for updates I do not see any available. How would I go about getting Android 2.2.2 from LG?

Thank you.

I downloaded the update from LG, and then connected my phone to my Mac. From there it took only around a minute to update :)

I found CM 7.2 to be quite stable when not overclocked. If it didn't have bluetooth-related battery drain issues I'd still be running it on my OptT. I use BT extensively. Note: when underclocked 122-600mHz the battery life is great.

Because of the BT issue I now run Resurrection, a gingerbread 2.3.3 ROM based (IIRC) on a TMO official ROM for one of the {indo}european markets. The only issue I've ever had with it is it FC's on the first boot after flashing and requires a 2nd boot. Golden after that. Very clean and efficient.

Note: new baseband is required for most/all ROMs. => android 2.3. You Have Been Warned.
