Latest Samsung update kills the Bixby Button for good

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 users will be happy to know that the latest update to their devices now actually kills the Bixby button for good if you disable it. Previously, the button acted like a second power button when pressed.

Well I just updated my Bixby and the button indeed does no longer wake the screen when pressed, but pressing and holding still wakes it up, and initiates Bixby. So either I'm missing something, or the link is BS Click bait.

I know you stated you updated but what version are you using?

I wouldn't mind Bixby so much if it just woke up when I long pressed the button as I would only do that if I meant to. But I hit that button way too often when I am aiming for the volume keys. And that gets annoying very fast.

I'm on Verizon and disabled the button last month as of this morning the button is dead. long push does nothing. I must have gotten the update overnight. Now if we could only remap it.

I finally broke down and purchased BK Disabler and disabled all four Bixby items. Now i dont mistakenly load Bixby when i hit the wrong bitton.
