Help Latest System Software Upgrade

Newbie
I have a Droid2. I was notified by Verizon and then downloaded the latest op sys. Woops! My pix and vid are all mixed up! Is this a known problem? Can I revert to previous sys software? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Based on your post I'll wait. The upgrade puts my phone at 2.3.3 and I've seen posts where people have had problems installing the release.

SBF'ing back to original stock is a breeze as long as you have the most up to date drivers on your computer and recent RSD Lite. If the GB OTA is being a pain you can try doing a factory restore and then slowly customizing and bringing your contact back into the phone ... or you can SBF, wipe, and then pull the OTA again.

No, it's 2.3.20, which is Froyo. The latest is 2.3.3, which is Gingerbread. As someone else mentioned, it's not very difficult if you install everything correctly.

Looking at "About Phone" my phone shows:
Android Version 2.3.3

There is a difference between Android Version and System Version. System version 2.3.20 is Froyo, which is Android version 2.2. Android version 2.3.3 is Gingerbread.

Yes it is Android version 2.3.3

As I said, you can revert to 2.3.20, but you will keep getting an update notification, which can be quite annoying.

However, if you do revert, you will lose anything and everything not stored on your SD card.
