Latitude & Longitude from Texts?

retrolab

Newbie
Still new to Android (and smartphones in general)...

Right now I get Longitude & Latitude coordinates texted to me where I then have to copy & paste it into Maps to get the location of the tracker.

Would anybody know of an app that can reveal its location by just clicking on the text, or if there's a faster way to enter it into Maps?

Copying and pasting specific parts of text is kind of finicky :(

Any help is much appreciated :)

Do you have any way of changing the format of the SMS that is sent?

Depending on the current format of the coordinates in the SMS, it's likely that Tasker could do this for the most recent SMS, but it wouldn't be able to do anything with older messages.

The tracker itself that sends the long and lat texts to my phone doesn't have an option on the format it is sent in.

Just d'l'd Tasker and it looks like it might do that trick, but there are so many variables that I suppose I'll have to find an online manual for specifics. Thanks :D

What's the format of the data that's being sent via SMS?
