Well there IS more to ICS than the launcher. Plus I guess it dont matter if you've been wanting an animation out of it more than anything else. lol

just got this - very nice launcher - more customizable than zeam and much lighter than Go

...it might have some issues coping with bigger widgets when moving home screens

pretty good though - sticking with it for now

cheers
dan

btw im running it on top of Mokee rom - so could be that hitting the speed maybe
ive also set Holo as 'keep in mem' to make sure it doesnt redraw when going to home screen

ps: an option to allow app shortcuts for swipe actions would be cool too

....when adding a new widget - it seems to add it in too large - so you then have to resize it to correct size - not sure if ive got it setup wrong maybe :/

am now running it on zm oxygen and seems smoother on that rom :)

will there be an update for the widget sizing ?

thanks

hi dev,

am liking this so much ive just gone pro :)
i really like the pinch out gesture - v cool

please could you add ability to link shortcuts to gestures if possible?
i use widget locker 'lock now' shortcut

thanks

Wow, what a bunch of whiners over on XDA. Just buy the ''Plus' version and be done with it. I did, and the "In and Out" transition is my favorite (though it isn't very descriptive of the effect). I'm not sure if I'll keep it as the default launcher on my tablet, but for $3.99, who cares!

Been using this launcher since BETA 5,& it was refined enough back then to replace all other launchers that I've purchased, including LAUNCHER PRO, ADW, & SPB SHELL 3-D.

I was more than happy to shell out $4 to support the developer.
Also worth a look is HOLO LOCKER. Very nice lock screen replacement.

Liked it, but went back to apex launcher. Not to say holo wasn't a good launcher, just preferred apex. Just my $.02. :)

I can appreciate that. Whenever my phone receives ICS, I'll probably take a look @ APEX & NOVA. But, in the meantime, at least those of us stuck @ GB 2.3.X, can have the look @ feel of ICS w/HOLO LAUNCHER.

Nice Holo update released yesterday. Still a couple of oddities though. For example, when using the new 2x2 folder grid, the animation is very jerky when closing the folder. Strangely, it seems worse when there are only a couple app icons in the folder. Another thing I find odd is the inconsistency in "remembering" screens. If you access the app drawer, then exit and re-enter, it returns you to where you last were. Yet, if you are in any homescreen and then go into settings, when exiting it always takes you back to the defined home screen (if you have one set... and I do). Also, when vertical app drawer is selected, the "Transition effect" submenu should be disabled, since it obviously does nothing in that mode... but it isn't. I also noticed a Honeycomb-specific bug: since Honeycomb uses a black background in dialogs, the "Restore settings" choices are invisible, since they are in black text. To make them visible, you have to long-press in the selection area. The toast message that appears after restoring says, "Operation successfully!" when it should obviously (to a native English speaker) say "Operation successful!". Despite all this though, I think it's a very good launcher and is moving in the right direction.

Open the draw and then hold the app for a few seconds. You should then be able to place it on the desktop.

it seems to add it in too large

hi dev - please can you alter the way it adds a new widget - it always adds it too big - so i have to add new widget on an empty screen, resize it, and drag it back to the intended screen

other than that - all working very well - thanks

cheers

Yeah, that's a legitimate issue, and the exact same workaround I used when setting up the homescreens.

When I got my Asus Eee Pad I loved the stock launcher. But I really have no use for 5 home screens. I typically use 2 maybe 3, but I couldn't get rid of those ones I didn't need. I tried Go Launcher (what I use on my mobile) but really disliked it on my tablet. After trying 6 or 7 launchers I fell in love with Apex.

Since Apex isn't available for Gingerbread devices I found Holo launcher and really like it a lot. Still tweaking it and finding new stuff in it. I haven't fully given into enough to delete Go Launcher though, but I think I may be there very soon.
