Help Launcher Pro - Dolphin Bookmarks and LP Widgets NO thumbnail??

Hello...

I'm using Launcher Pro (Plus/paid if that fact matters) and Dolphin HD Browser. When I use EITHER the LaucherPro Widgets Bookmarks or the Dolphin Bookmarks widget, the thumbnails of my bookmarks do NOT load. Even though, for example, when I scroll through and LauncherPro Widgets Bookmarks options, two of which actually SHOW thumbnails rather than only text for bookmarks in the scrollable widget, I do NOT get thumbnails for my bookmarks?? It appears I ONLY get thumbnails for Google (Google) and silly Sprint Vision "Portal Login"

Any idea why I don't have thumbnails and how I can get them??

FWIW, LauncherPro is starting to run into some issues with the newer versions of Android, particularly Gingerbread. I'm pretty sure this is the reason why the Developer behind it, is re-writing it from scratch. It was originally based on the 2.0 source code for the android launcher and he kept adding to it.

Your problems might be due to the limitations of the LP code. Of course, I could be completely wrong.

Thanks for the info. Would like to confirm this, however, since I'm "only" on 2.2 and, though rooted, I'm on the stock ROM...never flashed anything fancy.

The thumb nails work just fine on my phone with launcher pro plus. Tho I use the stock browser, they even update everytime I load a page off of them. Did they work before for you with dolphin or just sunce you started using dolphin browser?

Definitely not a limitation of launcher pro.

Probably a stupid question, but did you try actually browsing to your bookmarks through the widget? The only way it can get the thumbnails is if you browse to the sites you have bookmarked. If that doesn't work, I can maybe think of a few things you might take a look at.

You know with me...ain't no question too dumb! And guess what?? I didn't browser through any bookmarks!! This was the first time I tried to use any type of bookmark widget and when a couple of the bookmark thumbnails appears automatically I thought the REST should have appeared as well.

Anyway, as I sit here and tap the bookmarks they are EVENTUALLY coming through and showing in the widget. Some are taking a FEW times to tap...and I'm letting the pages FULLY LOAD each time. Odd..

QUESTION....is there a way to pick and choose WHICH bookmarks show up in either of the widgets I mentioned??..or is it an all or none type deal with these widgets??

If I AM stuck with an "all or none" scenario with these widgets, is there another widget that allows SINGLE or PICKING AND CHOOSING bookmarks to show on the Home screens, either in a scrollable widget or static BUT that shows a THUMBNAIL of the web page that is bookmarked rather than a GENERIC bookmark icon with a text label??

I don't think Launcher Pro bookmarks widget can show only certain bookmarks, but I could be wrong. FWIW, you can sort them based on something like most visited, so that the ones you want most are at the top. If you go to menu->preferences->LP widget settings->bookmarks widget, you'll find the option. It also has an option I completely forgot about that would help you with your original problem - get missing thumbnails .
