is there anyway i can change my swipe gesture action to compose email when i swipe the dock? someone told me to go to "launch activity", i cant seem to find it.

yes, long press the desired icon > select swipe gesture > launch application and then pick the application you want it to launch. click thanks if i helped **cough cough**
 
Well by selecting a app from that menu you can select messages or email or gmail which in turn, thats what your going to use for composing an email or text message. If your looking to create a swipe gesture that will open a email pre addressed to a specific person, no you cant do that.
 
i dont think it's gonna be possible, but i can deal without it. thanks a lot for you help!

i was just curious if i was able to get to these this screen directly from the swipe gesture, but getting into the gmail app/messaging app is fine too. thanks a lot for your help.

You can.

long press the desired icon > select swipe gesture > launch shortcut > Activities > Email (or gmail) etc etc. you will have to choose what activity you wish once you get to that step, it might take some trial and error finding the action you want......

I have my SMS swipe to direct message my wife as well as many other activities although not one for email but it might be possible to get to the screen you wish with the above steps
