Is your phone using an older version of Android? A market app will disappear if the developer drops support for older android versions.

Yeah, just as I suspected, LauncherPro dropped support for 1.5 so the app will no longer appear in the market for that phone.

The only thing I can think of is contacting the developer and ask him for an older version of LP that supports android 1.5, I bet he has an older version somewhere. The developer website is here: LauncherPro
And contact Motorola and tell them that your apps are starting to disappear because they're behind on updates. Eventually, as developers drop support for older android versions, your market will continue to dwindle.

Either wait for Motorola to send an OTA update or root it and install a 3rd party ROM. More on rooting here. This is another reason the developer community is such a vital community.
Those are the only choices you have I believe.

You really should contact the developer and ask for a version that works with android 1.5. Federico (LP dev) is one of the best devs I've seen.. open, honest and willing to work with his users. That's the best advice I can give.

Saw this on the Backflip forum. There is an update to 2.1. It looks like some people didn't like it, but someone said factory reset after upgrading solves all the issues. Good luck!
A good start is always looking at the Market on the web so you know that the selection isn't limited by your device or OS revision.
If Launcher Pro suddenly disappeared out of nowhere I guarantee that you wouldn't be able to miss the threads.

Visit the LauncherPro forums, you're probably not the first person to experience this so it might be beneficial to start a thread there. Federico is active on the forums.

The backflip doesn't allow sideloading? You may be able to install an app using adb, not sure if that's enabled either though. If it isn't you may be out of luck unless Federico is willing to upload the older version to the android market.
EDIT: I just sent him an email outlining your issue along with a request to upload a version that supports 1.5.
