Launcher question

I have apex launcher. No matter what theme I choose, if I download apps after I downloaded the launcher, I get the original icon rather than the themed one. Is there a way to get the themes icons for recently downloaded apps without uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher? Thanks!

I'd like to know, too. I get the same with ADW. There's an icon in the Ubuntu theme for Weatherbug I like, it's on the phone somewhere, but an update to the app just puts the default icon back. ADW lets you mix and match, and Ubuntu is still selected under icons. Even uninstalling the skin doesn't put the preferred icon back.

This is one place windows file formats is more useful. Most icons have .ico for an extension and you can find them.

I use Apex pro and this is the way I update theme icons. Go to apex settings and select theme. In theme you should be able to select your theme pack. Once youve done that it should bring you to a menu that you can select which elements you want to apply. After you select the elements press the apply button. It might take a couple seconds but this should update your icons to the selected theme.
You can also change them individually by long pressing on the icon and selecting the pencil/ edit from the list of options. Once you press on the pencil/ edit it should take you to a edit shortcut screen. Press on the icon image and it should take you to a menu that has a list of icon types. Press the select from icon packs option. This should bring up your theme packs and select which one you want to use. You should get a display of all the icon images your theme supports and it may take a moment for it to load. Select the one you want and it will take you back to the edit shortcut screen. Press OK and this should change the image of the selected icon to what you chose. Hope this helps.
