I bought LAUNCHER PRO ICONS
it has a transparent icon

its $1.99 but it also has like hundreds of other cool icons and tons of cool docks.

This is how i use the transparent icon for my dock
I have a EVO 4G and a with a DROID X Dock

I also think that if you are using (and liking) a free app that has a paid version, you should donate to the developer. Maybe not right away but once you get comfortable with the app. This way we will get more free apps to try and much more support and features on the paid stuff.
