LauncherPro vs. GO launcher EX

Does Go Launcher allow for swipe gestures in the dock bar like with LPP? That is huge for me, as I like fairly clean homescreens, but with the swiping, I can still have 30 apps right there in the dock bar.
 
Yes. I've never used them, but when I click a dock item "gesture" is one of the options.

I tried all of the other launchers but GLEX is my favorite. IMHO it works like a charm on my old phone (Admire) and my new one (Galaxy Indulge). I love Go SMS Pro (the theme maker is awesome and lets you have a theme for your sms and a separate one for the pop-up screen) and the Go Contacts w/Go Dialer. Unless something changes drastically I don't see myself ever going back to LPP. There are just too many great things about GLEX that LPP doesn't offer.:D:D
 
Thats weird, mine seems faster and smoother with GL installed. It runs just as smooth as Sense and love all the options to customize it.

Really enjoy almost all go apps. Also rock the SMS app and is great as well. I have LP as well, but rarely use it. Probably delete it honestly. Stick with GL and factory Sense.
 
I have used virtually all the available launchers but Go Launcher is the best of all...Many customizations and very smooth...no other launcher offer that much...It may not behave normally in different phones but it work like a charm on Galaxy S2..
 
Switched to GL EX from LP ages ago. It works like a charm and has not slowed down at all.

I like the support for scrollable widgets, gestures, transitions, resizeability and the many themes on offer (although I don't use the themes that much these days)
 
Launcher Pro, Launcher Plus, Launcher-X, Go Launcher, No-Launcher used them all.

The only one that works for sure is No-Launcher. All the above messages, for the most part, tell little on the phone being used. I just switched from Xoom Family to the Verizon Xoom 4G. I had it working great on the Xoom-Family. Go Launcher does not that seem to work, I could be wrong, on the Verizon Xoom 4G. So I'm back to No-Launcher.

I have used most of the above, some times in combo. Liked them all. Does any one have experience with the Verizon 4G Xoom.

Thanks to Go Launcher, my phone was randomly shutting off. I have no idea why, but I noticed when I'd fire it back up I'd have an error message regarding Go Launcher with an option to send an error report. My phone was shutting off so often I had to resort to a trusty alarm clock, as I started a new job and refused to be late due to my phone shutting off.

After a while of no updates fixing the issue, I moved on to bigger and better things.

Thank you, ADW Launcher, for providing the world with a fast, easy to use, and customizable open source launcher that does not cause cellular devices to simply shut off several times a day.
 
Wont notice any difference in battery for the launchers, from what I can tell.

I will also support Go Launcher....weekly updates and everything the other launchers have.
Its fast and great transition and app drawer options...no need for any other launcher

I have tried all 3. I love Launcher Pro Plus the most. With ADW and Go Launcher, it seems a bit childish and cartoony with their icons and such. LPP seems much cleaner.

I'm not sure, but I think LPP might be using more battery than some others, but it can't be much, as it doesn't show up in battery statistics.

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling? I've never had a problem with go launcher on any device or any friends devices. I'd hate to have you give go a bad rep due to a bad download/install. Too many options and supporting updates for any other to compete IMO.

I don't think that's a hardship. I'd love to know how to get ADW to do that.

I prefer my picture to a screen full of icons.

My home screen is nothing but a photo or a picture of my liking at that time. I hate turning on my phone and seeing a bunch of icons that I hardly ever use. It just makes it nice and clean.
