Help Launching apps as default from browser

OK, I looked through the threads and didn't find a topic about this so I thought I'd start one.

On my Triumph, when I was in the browser and there was a link for youtube or the Play Store, I would click the link and it would open the youtube app or the Play Store app respectively. With my new Evo V 4G it just opens a new page in the browser and it never asked me what I wanted to open as default. I've tried clearing the defaults in the browser and it didn't change anything.

Is there some way to get the browser to open these links with the apps or am I just SOL?

Try settings->app association.

I tried that too. There's no options for web url's to open specific apps.
