Law memory problem, can't install game

I have a Galaxy TAB 3 SMT-211 7.0" 8GB model, SN: CE0186, Android Version: 4.1.2, Baseband Version: T211XXAMH1.
I bought a 32 GB sd card for this tablet, and I've noticed, nothing is being put on the sd card at all. From what I can tell from the file manager, Samsung listed the internal memory as #sdcard and the external one as #extsdcard. As a result of this apps that are suppose to be saving files to the sd card are saving them all to the internal memory in the part labeled as sdcard. Out of all my apps, I only have one that lets me choose the download location.

Purpose of my buying 32 GB SD card and Tab 3 as well is only to play HD games. For the lack of internal space I can't play console quality game like The Dark Knight Rises. THIS NEEDS 2.2GB FREE SPACE . Where my Tab 3 says I have, actually not (screenshot given below) . I'm a big big Batman fan. May be, anyhow install The Dark Knight Rises on external sd card could solve my problem, if I wrong correct me.

Is there a way to get the apps to save or install files to the actual external sd card?

I'm currently not rooted, and would prefer not to root the tablet.

On Android v4 and above you cannot install or run any apps from the removable sd card. Most apps do however allow you to specify that their data is styled on external/removeable sd card. It's usually within the settings for the app.

The only way round this "feature" of Android v4 is to root the tablet. You don't need to install any custom rom or recovery, just root access would allow you to use an app such as https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount
