Lawmakers want to test your smartphone for activity if you're involved in a car accident

Estimates say that distracted accidents (like those caused by texting and driving) are up 8% in 2015 and lawmakers want to punish those who do just like they punish those who drink and drive.

Except instead of a breathalyzer, they want to use what they're calling a Textalyzer. This tool would let officers take your smartphone and run some tests on it to see if there has been any recent activity done with it.
