LCD or AMOLED?

Are the Desire S's screens LCD or AMOLED?

The guy in the phone job assured me they were AMOLED (but then he also assured me that all the original Desire's were AMOLED). I suspect it's LCD, as the screen goes funny when viewed through my polarised sun glasses, whereas my old Desire AMOLED never did this.

Not that it matters all that much, not an awful lot in it - just curious.

The Desire S has Super-LCD.

Desire's were originally AMOLED, but, due to supply problems with Samsung, whose technology it is, they (HTC) switched to Sony's S-LCD.

I think the rule is that unless the gumpf that comes with any HTC phone specifically states it's AMOLED, then it's S-LCD.
