Help LCD Problems????

Ok so i got this phone from a friend as an early birthday gift and he said it has been lying around his house for like 3 months or something like that but he also told me the screen gets like a 3-D distortion effect while using it, ive had it for a day now and can clearly see that but i found out when you squeeze opposite corners, not even hard the screen clears up and it looks normal. what i wanted to know is if someone has had this problem before and fixed it, cause i have tools to open it and could try a home fix or would it be easier to buy a new LCD screen off of like eBay or amazon?
 
Sounds like a loose connection to me. I would start searching YouTube how to videos. There are a few see if you are up to it because that definitely doesn't sound like a software issue. Also if you do tear it down it would be cool if you made a better version than what's out there. Either way keep us posted on what your doing ill see if I can find a guide;)
 
ok so i had before checked the connections and they were solid, but im going to have to end up buying a new lcd display anyways cause last night i knocked it off of my nightstand by accident and the lcd it has like broke in half, only half the screen is good the other side is white, black, and a bunch of red and green lines.....genyc what did you mean if i could tear it down could i make a cooler version??


LOL what a n00b move i know, i raged so hard when i broke last night........
 
Yea misty absolutely as you're taking it apart and rebuilding it try to record it. Nice how to btw SDR
