Root Learn development of ROMs

Can someone point me in the direction of things I need to developed ROMs, kernels and the like for the spectrum. I love these devices and I want to learn how to make new developments with this device. Please and thank you.

Lol so many think it's hard but it's not if you go by that guide and start to get the hang of things.

Are there any base roms available for the Spectrum? I'm not sure where to look.

everything pertaining to roms and rooting is there. As far as a base then you want the ZV7 stock which is the second to last link under the ice cream sandwaich section

You could try the bionx rom. Or icy fusion. They are both stock based roms and both are pretty dang snappy.
