I have a simple question for developers here. I have a project in mind, the first question I have is going about it. Do I learn android app development myself or hire a dev for the project? Maybe somewhere in between?
As for my coding skills... they are quite lacking at the moment. I know some basic html & php. It's enough to edit something to my specifications but as for building something from scratch, it's something that takes me quite a bit of time. Also, I think I might be missing some coding knowledge foundations that I might have to go back and learn.
And as for the app itself, it's not terribly complicated (I think). Conceptually, it's a review type app that I wouldn't think would require anything extremely advanced, but I would love to have a nice design.
So this leads me back to the question, should I learn app development & coding? Or hire? It's a time vs. money issue, I have both but I am interested to see this forum's input on this type of problem. If I hire, where is the best place to find developers? I've had some mixed experiences in the past on coding jobs but it's usually a communication problem.
