Leaving Samsung for HTC

I have had an S3 for short of 2 years, Due to renew contract in August. I was disappointed with the look of the S4 a I felt it just looked the same as my S3, yes some spec improvements but same look. Then horror of horrors, out comes the S5 which, spec updates aside looks exactly like the S4 and the S3 except with a horrible looking back. I wanted my new phone to look like a new phone. Fingerprint ID, heart monitor and all sorts of other software "improvements" are of no interest to me, I would immediately be switching them off to save battery. Anyway, my contract was with Three in the Uk and when they announced their new deals that restrict Tethering on their One Plan to 2 GB I decided it was time to change. Seen an offer on EE for 20GB internet (including tethering), unlimited minutes and texts and able to use my minutes and texts whilst abroad in a long list of countriesm

Enjoy the new phone mate. Samsung are a lost cause imo
Whats this about three tethering? Do you have a link? Ive used 3 for well over a year, the

All of their new plans that include data will allow a maximum of 2gb for tethering. If you have the one plan just now that allows unlimited tethering, then when your contract is up you can keep your existing plan on a month to month basis and keep tethering but if you want a new phone with then you have to take a new contract in which case you lose the unlimited. Their SIM only one plan keeps the unlimited tethering so an option is to change your plan to SIM only, buy your own new phone and keep tethering. Their web site states pay as you go does not include tethering, I believe there is a small update going out to phones to stop the ability to tether. Search their website for personal hotspot as they now call it. Good luck

Left HTC to get an S3 (HTC burnt their bridges with me)

Then left Samsung for a Nexus 5. Best thing I ever did.

Luckily I'm on the Sim only contract deal with Three so for a change things seem to have worked out ok for me! :D

Hmm i wonder if ill be safe on the pre-pay sim. Theyve never officially allowed tethering on it but didnt block it. Ive tethered over 50gb in a month before we got wifi lol.
If theyre gona push a firmware update to block it ill be fine. I dont even have samsung firmware on my phone let alone Three :D

If i had the money it would be the Nexus 5 id go for without a doubt :)
The HTC's are really nice hardware but overpriced since id be putting on a custom rom so id lose any HTC software features
