Help LED Notification not Working

Hi,

I can't seem to get LED notification to work for new incoming email or messages on new Galaxy 'S' Vibrant.
The settings all check out ok, but no blinking light.
Can anyone help with this?

Wow...no LED on this phone? I guess that's why it doesn't work!
I see some small LED's (or what I thought were LED's) in upper left corner on front of phone.
The LED notification that I set was actually part of the K9 mail app.
Hmmmm...what are those things on my phone in upper left corner?

They are proximity and ambient light sensors...
