Help LED notifications...

Weird, but if I receive a call or text, I DON'T get an LED notification. And yes my LED is set to on...

Will it only come on after X minutes or so?

Correct, it only works when the screen is off.
You also may want to consider looking into using Light Flow - LED Control

I got lightflow because I didn't like the LED notifications (bright flashing blue in night = not good) and it's fantastic.

Well worth getting the paid version!

I guess I need to test mine again. I received a text message, and no LED notification. Maybe the screen was on, I don't recall...

Light flow does not function with the US version of the S3. There is a bug of some sort, or hasn't been updated for 4.0.4 and the S3?

Anyway, if you have the led notifications set to on in settings, plug it in and if the red led comes on, you're good to go. Send an email to yourself and a very slow on and off blue light should come on.

Thanks everyone. I rebooted my device and all seems to working correctly now.

Curious, when a new notification is received, and the blue light starts flashing, will it flash till I check the notification, or just for 10-15 minutes or so?

Until you check it.

Static red for charging.
Static green for fully charged
Flashing blue for sms / email
(unless you change it with 3rd party app)

When the led goes on though the lock screen lights up for a few seconds. Very annoying.

Can be changed with gosms, so that its optional. At least so the screen doesn't wake on texts.
