Led won't flash

I've only had my eris for about 2 days now and have figured out how to set it up the exact way i want it but for some reason the little led light in the upper right won't flash. I have handcent sms and have that set to flash blue for sms and that won't work either. Can anybody help me?

I don't think it can flash anything but green. Set it to green and see what it does.

Sorry to bump this, but no red or amber, either? Not even when you have low battery or have it plugged in? The only colors it can flash are red, amber and green I believe. It might just be an issue with Handcent if it just doesn't work for texts...
