Auxiliary port only outputs the right side, just occurred. Began factory default and in process currently. Is this a common problem?

It's not a common feature of the base android OS that I've heard of. I can't speak for your particular device or app since don't know what they are.
If a reset doesn't fix it then the most obvious hypothesis would be that it's a hardware problem, so fingers crossed that it's not that.
