Help Left touchpad

The left touchpad of my xperia play its not working well.. Only the very right side of my left touchpad is working.. But the right touchpad its perfect.. I dont know what is the problem..

This could be a software on the device, I would suggest first trying a software repair to see if this changes the buttons functionality.
