Help Legend just shuts off

Hey all,

I have a problem with my HTC Legend,
It just randomly shuts off and I can't turn it back on.

When I remove the battery and put it back in, the phone will work again. Just so he can shut off in a couple of minutes somtimes hours again.

I'm sorry for my bad Enlish, I'm Dutch
I hope someone can tell me what the problem is.

Try a hard reset. If it doesn't work - contact your warranty service

Maybe there is a possibility that contacts of battery have oxidized and they loose the connection with phone?

Give it a blow around the back speaker, I think its dirt upsetting the accelerometer.

I had an issue where my legend would shut down randomly when I put it down (it did always let me turn it back on again though) I'd try a hard reset and, if that doesn't work, contact HTC warranty (they were really good with me).
