Help Lenovo S8-50 very poor battery - should i flash it?

I have a Lenovo S8 50 tablet but the battery life is so poor its unbelievable.
The device is only a couple of months old and not heavily used but Im having to almost charge it daily.
I have factory reset but that hasnt helped.
I was wondering if anyone knows of another firmware I could try and if so how to flash it

Perhaps it just has a crap battery life, this really is a budget device, and many of them do. You could try factory resetting it, but however what are you actually using it for, e.g. gaming?

One Amazon reviewer writes about their Lenovo s5-50...
"I just finished folding mine in half and throwing it in the trash after getting so frustrated with it. I'm a big android fan and buy all kinds of Android powered devices, but I'll be replacing this POS with an iPad Mini. At least those work."
An Apple iPad will probably cost about two or three times as much of course.
