Before doing a factory reset, make sure Verizon's system is working properly. I found out the hard way that Verizon's activation/billing system is down. Had to do a factory reset today because my phone was acting up. When I went to re-activate, I was sent to customer service and told that the system was down and to call back in about an hour. Long story short, I have now been told to try again in the morning. In the mean time, I have a fabulous WiFi device, but no ability to make or receive calls.
I can only hope it's up and running before I leave my house in the morning, as my mobile is my only means of contact during the day.
Lesson learned.
