Root lets fix this

Buddy just dropped of his phone stuck in boot loop. I tried restore and I'm guessing he doesn't have a restore point smh. Anyways it has totlths touch recovery v6.0.3.1.

Nothinh on his sd card fixes this. I even tried the roms on my card. This is the results.

When wiping data I get this message

E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk1p2

I tried ftm mode and I try to fix but I get this when I type adb devices

???????????? No permissions

What else should I do good peeps?

My update.zip - status 7. I can maybe fix this tonight

One way of fixing the status 7 is to remove the "assert" next to the semi-colon of the updater script with notepad++.

Ok got it fixed. Apparently the dude stuck some kind of bootanimation.zip in system/media and it was causing problems. I went into recovery and formatted /system/media and it booted right up. And was even kind enough to make a backup for him
