Root Lets Get Root

sorry guys just tried again and it still didn't work

{-} can't get a handle on it: -1 No such file or directory

A demon materialized while pooting. Error
code:18
su binary was not written

except all teh apk is doing is running a script. you just dont have to

did you follow all the instructions? installing minstro etc the guy on the previous page claims he is rooted via using it.

if i knew what cpu was in this phone i could tell you immediately whether or not it worked
 
ok so i was playing with commander again and i hit the boot into recovery button and it went into recovery so is there any way that I could use a update zip to flash root in here i wont to try but not without expert opinion first i already have a update zip the one that i use for my huawei to root please tell me this will work

Ministro II.apk and Poot.apk doesnt work, i even put in superuser and then the update, but it doesnt work on the (Samsung Galaxy Admire 4g) from metro piece of shit!
I installed both .apk

well that didn't work but maybe because it's for another phone anybody else got some more ideas

he was talking about his optimus e not this phone
 
you can compile a zImage, you then need to pack it with the ramdisk for this phone(assuming this is standard boot.img, if its samsung you need to compile the ramdisk into the zImage). unfortunately the only way to get this ramdisk is by dumping the stock kernel, which to do you need root :(

How long is it going to take to root the Samsung Galaxy Admire 4g??
Is it ever going to happen?
There is root for the Attain, but not for the Admire 4g?
WTF is going on? cant anybody get root access to the kernel?
This blows, i want to get rid of that spyware...ADMOB and MILLENNIAL in my phone, plus BS boatware.

this has a cortex a8 processor

The Attain 4G has been out for nearly a year, this phone just over a month.

Patience. People begging and demanding and freaking out usually tends to make devs give up on a device or just never start on it.

im refering more to if its a samsung hummingbird, or a qualcomm msm8655. depending on which one it is root will need to be done in a different way.

thecleaner stop acting like you have a right to root, no one forced you to buy this device.
 
ok guys along with shabby and our source we need some info off your phone can some1 post us a snap shot of their phone's info like build number and baseband and such. we looking through certain available files for your phone but in order for us to get shabby the files he needs we need to know what build are you guys on. my source pulled up something and it seems ya are on FG03 so if any of you guys can confrim this we can go ahead and get shabby some files to play with and hopefully get ya rooted.

ok so you guys have a much newer stuff. im grabbing kernel source i finally know what all needs to be done to make you guys get root. the source said he migth have the files for us later tonight if he does then i can prolly have a working test root (no risk) tomorrow. but i can promise you there wont be any custom recoveries coming from me. im not too good at making them for samsungs stupid initramfs setup.
 
later 2night we will need some volunteers atleast two but more is welcome how many are willing to be part of the rooting process? anyways for more info ya can post back here and shabby will get in contact with ya or whatever.
