I think originally she wanted to make her a tragic hero then decided that she couldn't do that as she saw how well the other books were, IIRC the 2nd and 3rd book were released quite quickly IMO it was to catch the wave created by the first book.

I found it interesting that Katniss volunteered to begin with to save her sister and as a result her sister died...almost gives it a meaning of don't fight the system...

yea i know what you mean. i think quite a few people said that about making her a tragic hero. but she couldve thought up a better way to end the book instead of the "happily ever after" that was given. and that she ended up with Peeta was kind of a no-brainer. it still wasnt too bad of a book but definately not the best of the 3. it'll be interesting to see what they do with it in the movies to come

but now that i'm done with that series, i'm gonna start reading Poison: A Novel of the Renaissance. supposed to be based on the Italian family Borgia. kinda like the Tudors (which is a TV series i LOVED) so i'm hoping its just as good. i have season 1 sitting in my netflix queue to watch after i read the first book.

I am currently using my older SE K810i which has managed the test of time ,time and again (I bet it has something to do with Timescape )
It survived a 7 floor fall (dont ask...) and is still has better reception and cam quality than my G551 .
I will miss the email and tapatalk but I can manage without smartphones for quite a while ...(Goes to writes a book on smartphone addiction and wins the booker prize for 2013 ..)

[Hide]I think she wanted a twist of some sort since it was set up great to have her be a tragic hero...or she just didn't have the heart to pull the trigger so to speak...again I feel it was rushed for the sake of money oh well[/spoiler]

I have a few books purchased I should start reading at some point...
 
lol gbiggie . I love my smartphone :p . But it's not that I cant live without it .Plus the phone works in all respect except mobile data which I need only for apps .Even wifi works...
I will think twice before buying a samsung for the IMEI reason ...
