Was it a 48 hour video marc?

no... But that's what he said... I know I can't believe everything on the internet, but I could believe that the LCD would stop working because there isn't a real way to protect it unless you totally enclosed in some sort of airtight container or case because the way they work.

Well the buttons and ports would also let water into the internals....

no the liquipel goes on the inside too, I'm not sure exactly how they do it all, but it coats everything internal and external, It's just LCD screens can't really be coated with anything that's going to protect them unless you were to take it completely apart and put some sort of airtight protection on it.

so whats the use anyway ....
The stock cover offers decent water protection .
its a geek's gimmick IMP

I know. I wouldn't ever pay to get it done. I mean replacing the LCD would be cheaper than replacing the whole phone, but still it's not really all that great.

It seems to me that an airtight coating in your charging port wouldn't be a good idea...and after you plug it in it would be broken...I think karan is right on this one...

I never even said anything about having airtight charging ports... Also karan not everyone has covers... all my ports are exposed on my phone... granted I only have a micro usb and haedphone jack, but still lol.

I bet I could easily design a completely waterproof phone without adding much cost to the device if I really wanted...
