my ex (the super clingy one thats deployed right now) seems to think i should be excited that he MIGHT be coming back to the states early. and he thinks i should make him scalloped potatoes (everyone who has had them loves them) if he comes to visit. he would only be in town to visit me (he claims he has no friends). i hate being a bitch online. its so much more fun in person cuz then i can see their reaction.

Wow angl seems to be celebrating PMS day early...:vroam:

If your ex wants to hook up with my wife then maybe it will kill 2 birds with one stone...IIRC she had a thing for marines when we lived together...just sayin

Ignorance makes me irritable. And there's alot of ignorance around.

Send her out to cali. That's where he's stationed. Or maybe he will get orders to nc.

I don't plan on sending her anywhere...I don't really want to see her much less celebrate with her...

If anyone cares to answer ( other than my wife, who cares deeply about questions I pose) : Are racism and sexism equally bad?

IMO it depends on how the other person takes it...at least if done in private...in public yes they probably are equally bad...

I tend to agree on a personal level, but in general, in society as a whole, it seems sexism/sexist comments are much more widely accepted than racism/racist comments. Take the use of the "n" word vs the use of the "b" word (as in female dog.) People say "b" in a negative way all the time and no one bats an eye...but the "n" word on the other hand....

I don't think the B word has as much negative or sexist connotation as the N word does racially...if a public figure went on TV and said that all a specific gender should do is be house wives and make babies I'm sure they would get as much backlash as if they made a racist comment...and I could call most the black people I know IRL the N word and they wouldn't be phased by it but would know I wasn't trying to be hateful...but that may just be my friends and their outlook

on that note, why is it acceptable for a black person to call another black person the "n" word, but not when another race does?
