lets see your battery life!!

First day with this phone and I am amazed!!! So I had a Vibrant and could not get more then 10-12 out of the phone with light use, few txt screen on of 40 min. Then I went to Sprint and snagged a Photon 4G and WOW!! 20+hours with light use screen of about 50 min or so. And now I have the 4G touch and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think those two pics say it all!!

So let me give details here.
Off the charger at 8am during which time I did the fallowing.
Wifi on and attachedall day minus about 40min on 3G
40+txt through out the day
38min worth of phone calls through out the day
google reader for 20 min(on and off)
installed, 5 gameloft games pulling down 250-800megs worth of data each.
played two of said games for about 20 min each.
cruzed the internet and watched youtube vids(two where the SGS2 ICS)
and also installed all the angry birds games but didn't play them. Also installed 5 other regular apps and used a flashlight app for 3min.

All I can say is WOW!!!!

Its def. The best better I I've ever seen in a smart phone ! You won't need a charger mandatory. I also had the vibrant which I still believe was the only glitch free phone I've owned! you'll have to see this battery to believe it, I can remember seeing threads like these when I had the OG Evo & let me tell ya 12 to 24 hours was just something I couldn't understand with that thing. Not anymore! This was taken with 18% remaining, and started at 95% amazing!

By the way I keep my settings on auto brightness, just under 50%

Look at the pic, you are hardly using your phone. Of course you will get great battery life. I will agree battery life is pretty good though.

True but even with screen on 25% of the time, I'm at 7 1/2 hours with 50% batt remaining thats more than pretty good to me, It dies hard! Whats your usage like?

I usually have to charge mine in the evening. Then again I work a 24hr shift......Its a good battery for what this phone can do!

At that discharge rate I'm surprised you can hold your phone.

First the Android OS has high numbers but only because it is causing a looping error. Sammy might have a fix for that. My Android OS percentage is high as well, but I have great battery life. Check your running services and also kill an apps running that are in the "downloaded" category. My bet is that something you installed is running as a service and killing your battery.

Unrelated to your issue, I decided to do a 3G then a 4G then WIFI set of tests.
So with 3G only Friday I pulled 17 hours with screen time of 2h40m.
on Sat 4G only I pulled 14h with screen time of 1h50m
and sunday WIFI only I pulled 22 hours with screen time of 2h50m

Pretty darn good battery stats if you ask me. I played several games including angry birds, green farm, Backstab, and earth and legend. Pretty good.

Try reformatting both your internal and add-in SD cards. Back everything up and do a reformat from within your device. People have seen huge improvements because of it.
