Help LG 540 radio & web..

l have just bought a LG540 and could do with some help and advice if possible. First question, as it's a touch screen as soon as l unlock the phone it either goes onto facebook page or l make a mistake of touching a browser page. How can l prevent going onto a browser page as l'm on PAYG and l've lost quite abit in credit in the few days l've had it because of this..
Also what do you have to pay for on these phones and what is free to look at..E.G....Is the radio free to listen to does this use your credit up...

l Would appreciate it if any can give me a idea or list of what's free to look up and use on these's phone's...

Disable Mobile Data (Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Network & select 'Disable') Enable it when you want to use Internet...

FM Radio is free... All the apps are free to use.. & internet based apps will use your credit...

I'd suggest you to get a small data package with your mobile. Wot is the point of having an android phone without internet??? You'll miss many application and the fun of Android.

You can easily disable net connection by

settings->wireless control -> (uncheck) Mobile Network

I mean you can use the apps for free, no unlock code or registration required... And, you have to pay for the Internet... Browser, Facebook, Twitter, Google Maps(along with latitude & navigation), YouTube, Google Translate, Gmail, Talk etc etc etc uses internet... You use them for free but have to pay for Internet thats required to use them...

and 'mayooresan' is right... You should get a Data Package..

Thanks for the advice chaps l will get a data package, just need to find a good deal for my Orange PAYG...

l have gone onto google mail on my phone and had to open an account last night but not been on google mail today till now but it shows my mail address at the top of the page so am l still signed in as l do not know how to sign in or out.
What can l do with google mail EG .. can l download and save any photos/videos on the phone with google mail, and while l'm on the computer can l send photos/videos etc to the phone...
What can l do chaps with google mail..

Yap, you are logged in GMail & you don't need to logout... Leave it as it is... When you get a mail it'll notify you automatically...

GMail is an E-Mail client..
