Help LG Ally Shattered Screen

My phone is fine, but one of my friends dropped her LG Ally phone and its completely shattered. The provider is Verizon but she had no insurance.LG VS740 Replacement Repair Parts has Screens. My question is: How difficult is it to get in the top portion of the phone and replace it? Obviously more damage getting it apart is not what the doctor ordered. It looks like two screws are hidden behind push in tabs behind the screen, but i have no idea how to pull or pry them out. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I understand, but when your location and money is an issue... you explore all options.

Well id look how much it cost and if not look at maybe a 3rd party alternative such as a phone repair other then Verizon

Try craigslist and find a phone repairman, most of them will do it for like $20 bucks... Its better than risking it and not having a phone at all.
