Im just open that topic to post a usefull app.

LG 2X/Black Notifications

When you recieve a message, a missed call or an email, your magnifying glass icon will start shinning, so, you can be notified without unlock your screen or even get close to your LG, about your messages, missed call's or emails

Ok. I am running it as advised by developer to conserve batt: LED on constant on with intensity dialed down to 20%. So far it is very handy and has not drained the batt.

Very cool to just glance at your phone and see whether or not an sms/missed call/email came in. Highly customisable too.
